The Cut: 06.03.2016 The week reviewed and updated

Sunday 6th March 2016

Apologies for the late publication of ‘The Cut’. I have been feeling somewhat ‘middle-aged’ this week. None-the-less, here is the week in review.

Madwblog was contacted by two Clayhanger residents early in the week both concerned about the high level of litter in the Village. As the ‘clean up’ in Brownhills has been so successful, madwblog has been gauging interest in a ‘Spring Clean’ for Clayhanger on 19th March. Keep an eye on madwblog for more information on this.

Monday brought the reveal of the plans for Northfields Way and the beginning of the public consultation with the first meeting at Clayhanger Community Centre. Another meeting is scheduled for Monday 7th March at the Methodist Church Hall, 5.30 – 7.30pm. If you can make the time to go along, please do. Laura Terry of Area Partnership is extremely knowledgable and welcoming.

With a beautiful spring morning comes Mothering Sunday and the first feature for ‘On The Spot’. Emma Sheffield reveals the dirty side of floristry! I notice form her Facebook page that she is open for business this morning if you need a last minute floral gift for your mum.

I leave you with an image of Gerberas from Emma’s stock.

Coming up…

More on the Clayhanger Spring Clean and the wider issue of litter and ASB hot spots in the village next week and how to make sure you get your Green Bin emptied and avoid the dreaded yellow sticker!

If you know of a person, place or event concerning Clayhanger which could feature in On the Spot, complete the contact form.
